Circa 1870. This fantastic 10KT gold Victorian mourning brooch features a natural bezel-set garnet carbuncle measuring 20mm wide. The garnet is haloed with 32 natural seed pearls measuring an average diameter of 3mm. On the back of the brooch is a locket compartment filled with a loved one's woven hair. The bottom of the brooch features round and drop-shaped dangle settings accented with blue enamel and bezel-set seed pearls. The brooch is in fabulous condition!
